Dear pastors, brothers and sisters in the Lord,
Peace be with you! We have some good news to share with you. The 22-month-long lawsuit has finally come to an end. We thank the Lord that both parties have cleared up their misunderstandings, worked out their differences, and come to a resolution and agreement to part ways and bless each other in preaching the gospel.
Throughout those 22 months, our entire leadership team had repeatedly tried to explain and clarify to the four pastors (the plaintiffs in the lawsuit), hoping they would understand that the financial and board change allegations brought up in the lawsuit were based on speculations and misunderstandings. Furthermore, we always wanted to seek a way to resolve this issue in a manner that is respectful to each other and aligns with God's Word. Even though the process had been long and difficult, we must thank the Lord for His grace in bringing this lawsuit to a close, allowing both sides to come to a resolution, clarify misunderstandings, and worked out our differences. We are grateful to God for keeping us humble, reverent, and dependent on Him throughout this entire ordeal. At the same time, we have learned many spiritual lessons and we hope that these lessons will help us to continue to grow in our journey of obeying God's Word.
Above are two declarations signed by different parties involved in the settlement. The first statement was signed by Pastor Manna and Pastor Jade. The second statement was signed by Pastor Gary, Pastor Maggie, three brothers and sisters from Los Angeles, as well as Pastor Jimmy and the board of directors of Sunrise Christian Community in Los Angeles. It is our hope that these declarations can honor God.
Lastly, we are immensely thankful to all the pastors, brothers and sisters who prayed and cared for us during this challenging period. Without your encouragement and prayers, we truly cannot imagine how we could have stood strong and continued our mission. Thank you for being like Aaron and Hur, lifting up our hands in this spiritual battle. Please continue to pray with us for a sincere and genuine reconciliation to take place in the future between the two parties; we believe this is God's desire. We hope that one day both sides can unite in overcoming the enemy's work of stealing, killing, and destroying within the church, so that He may receive glory and praise!
As our non-profit organization, registered and operational in Los Angeles since the year 2000, embarks on a new chapter, we received a clearer vision and a new name from the Lord. Therefore, our non-profit organization has officially been renamed "To The Nations."
